High school for mathematics in Kazanlak

There was an opening ceremony in the Museum of Roses in Kazanlak. Acad. Peter Kenderov and prof. Stefka Bouyuklieva talked about Mathematics, women mathematicians, the exhibition and the project. A few girls, who are students in the mathematical school, talked about famous female mathematicians.

The opening of the exhibition was combined with a half-day course with teachers from Kazanlak for learning and applying the enquiry-based approach in mathematical education.

Among the audience were acad. Peter Kenderov, prof. E. Sendova and prof. T. Chehlarova from Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the coordinator of the Regional center of the Academy V. Chuchumishev, the director, teachers and students from the mathematical school in Kazanlak, and some more guests.

The event was covered by the local press. There were also announcements on the web page of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
