Prof. Karin Baur, University Graz, Austria, one of the 13 portrayed mathematicians in the exhibition, held a talk on Algebras associated to dimer models with boundary

Abstract: Dimer models with boundary were introduced in joint work with King and Marsh as a natural generalisation of dimers. We use these to define algebras and module categories. The latter categorify the cluster structure of the Grassmannian.
