If you love it, go for it! The most important thing is to follow
your passion. Be brave and pursue it wholeheartedly. If
someone tells you that you can’t do it, simply say, ›Watch me
and see for yourself.‹ Don’t let doubts – your own or others’ –
stop you from exploring whatyou truly want to do.

ARIADNA and PATRICIA RIBES METIDIERI

We both feel that our greatest achievement has been being
able to study and work alongside each other throughout our
careers, consistently managing to move to the same places.
As post-docs, this has become more challenging because
our research paths have become more specialized, but
we still value the shared journey immensely. We have also
maintained a love for art, inspired by our grandmother, and
we are proud to have kept that creative side of our brains.
We try to incorporate art into our work wherever possible,
whether through figures in research papers or illustrations
in public talks.
